^The official language of instruction for the MBA full-time program Logistics Management is English.
^The Master's thesis is included in the course structure and will be prepared in parallel with the course studies to achieve greater interactivity with our professors and experts.
^The tuition fee for the whole 12-month MBA Logistics Management program is EUR 19,800, including course materials. Please note that the cost of living is not included.

Successful applicants who are admitted will be given further information on how to apply and access these scholarships and loans. Please do also check our website regularly for current information on this issue.
^Typically, the fees for an MBA program are considered as income-related expenses for further education and are tax deductible if you have got an income in Germany. Basically the fees are deductible in the taxable year in which they originate but you also have got the possibility to transfer the expenses into the previous year or to postpone them into coming years. Please pay attention if you fulfil the criteria in order that your tuition fees will be considered as income-related expenses for further education. For further questions and more information please check the homepage mba-gate.de or contact your tax consultant.
^Interviews are conducted on a case-to-case basis. In order to minimize the expenses and inconveniences caused to the applicants and at the same time get to know the candidate we arrange conference calls, video conferences or interviews together with our partners, e.g. in local offices of international logistics companies or the DAAD. You do not have to apply for an interview. If necessary, we will inform you in time and make the necessary arrangements.
^Applications can be handed in anytime. Admission is done on a rolling basis. Applications for the program starting in October the same year have to be handed in by May 31, at the latest. Candidates who require a visa should apply as early as possible, preferably by March 31.
^For our full-time MBA Program you can use our online pre-registration system to have your application checked. Your data will be assessed by the admission department, and you will get a confirmation for further steps in the application process. If your application satisfies all criteria of application, the admission office will request you to hand in your complete (signed) paper-based application form as well as copies of all required certificates. Please note, that only the paper based application containing all required documents is considered as "complete". However by submitting an online-registration you can facilitate and accelerate the application process
^While being not the sole criteria used for admission, the GMAT score helps us to evaluate candidates in a uniform and standardized way. Therefore a good GMAT score is part of the requirements for admission to the MBA full-time program. However, the score is just one criterion out of several within our selection process. The test may in some cases be waived for applicants who have previously studied at a European university. Up-dated information in this matter must be checked with the admissions department. Applicants, who intend to apply for a tuition fee scholarship (limited in number), have to deliver a good GMAT score (higher than 520 points) in order to be considered for a scholarship application.
^The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a test required by any student who wants to start postgraduate studies in management or business like an MBA program and is required by almost all business schools worldwide. It measures the flexibility of the applicant's approach to problem solving and includes maths, essay writing and problem solving strategies. It is administered by the Educational Testing Service. For further information on GMAT test registration, centres and dates visit their website at www.gmat.org.
^The Hamburg University of Technology (and accordingly the Kühne School in private public partnership with the TUHH) does not have an institutional code for the GMAT score transmission yet. Thus you need to provide a copy of your unofficial score report. As soon as the code is available it will be shown on our website.
^All applicants whose native language is not English and who have not received a university degree from a university in the following countries - Canada excluding Quebec, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Australia, the United States and New Zealand - must submit a valid TOEFL or IELTS score report.
^The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) evaluates the English speaking proficiency of students whose native language is not English and who want to pursue studies at a college or university where English is spoken. The test consists of four parts: Listening Section, Listening and Structure Section, Reading Section und Writing Section. A minimum TOEFL score of 100 (internet-based)/ 250 (computer-based)/ 600 (paper-based) is required for admission to the MBA full-time program. ETS is the institution that administers the TOEFL test. For further information on TOEFL test registration, centres and dates visit their website at www.toefl.org.

^The IELTS (international English Language Testing System) is an alternative to the TOEFL-Test. It tests the complete range of English language skills which will commonly be encountered by students when studying or training in the medium of English. A minimum of 7.0 in the IELTS test is required for admission to the MBA full-time program. For further information on IELTS test registration, centres and dates visit their website at www.ielts.org.
^The Cambridge Proficiency in English (CPE) and Cambridge in Advanced English (CAE) are also accepted by the Kühne School. A grade C in all sections of the CPE is the minimum required for the MBA full-time program at the Kühne School. In the case of the CAE a grade B in all sections of the paper is the minimum requirement. For further information on these tests, registration, centres and dates see their website at www.cambridge-efl.org.
^If you have received a university degree from a university in one of the following English speaking countries - Canada excluding Quebec, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Australia, the United States and New Zealand you will be exempted from submitting a valid TOEFL or IELTS score report. If you have received a university degree in a country not listed above you must submit a TOEFL or IELTS score.
^You must have at least one year relevant working experience (full-time), preferably in the field of logistics. Internships will not be considered as work experience.
^The certificate of each of your relevant jobs stating as a minimum: the company's name (on the original letter head), location, period when the post was held and your main responsibilities.
^If your original documents are not in English or German, you must also submit an officially authenticated copy of the translation of each document. To ensure a correct evaluation of your university achievements, international applicants have to submit an explanatory sheet of the university's official grading system.
^A properly certified certificate or document is one that has been authenticated by a notary public, the German Embassy in your home country, or by the institution that issued the original document. (Secondary or intermediate school certificates authenticated by your university or vice versa cannot be accepted.) In Germany authentication can also be performed by the respective resident's registration office ("Einwohnermeldeamt"). If your documents are not in English or German, officially authenticated translations must be appended. Please note that the authentication must also be in English or German. Due to the large number of applications from China, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) set up an office in Beijing. Thus Chinese applicants must additionally submit an APS-certificate, issued by the "Akademische Prüfstelle" of the German Embassy in Beijing Landmark Tower, Office 0311, 8, North Dongsanhuan Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing-100004, Tel: 0086-10-6590-7138/-7141, Fax: 0086-10-65907140 E-mail: kuaps@163bj.com). For the latest information, contact the admissions department at Kühne School.
^The standard form for letters of recommendation contains questions for your referees to help them evaluating your relevant abilities. At the same time it helps us to evaluate your relevant skills, abilities and strengths and to make them comparable to those of other applicants. We encourage you in your own interest to submit the letters of reference in the standard form. However, if it is not possible for you or your referee prefers a non-standardized from of reference please make sure that all the questions and information required are covered by this letter. In this case, the Kühne School will also accept this type reference letter.
^In case you do not have passed the GMAT yet, you can still apply and hand in the GMAT results later. As long as your test score reaches us before August 31, you can go ahead and apply.
^Even if there are a lot of efforts to make degrees from international universities more comparable and more transparent (Bologna-process in Europe) the process is still not completed. In the course of the application process, the admission department needs to check if the university an applicant graduated from is an international approved institution. This is a highly comprehensive and often time consuming process in Germany as each foreign university and its degree has to be cleared with the data base of the German Federal Council of Higher Education. If your university or even your home country is not listed in the database, it will take more time to confirm whether you are eligible to apply or not.
^Applications submitted by fax or e-mail will not be accepted as you need to sign your application form. However, if you are worrying that it would take a while by regular mail and you want to accelerate your application process you can submit a copy of your application by e-mail of by fax and send your original application via mail so that we can start reviewing your documents.
^Every applicant will receive an e-mail confirming the receipt of his/her application.
^Complete applications will normally be processed within 4 - 6 weeks on receipt of complete application documents.
^You can apply for the MBA full-time program if you
