As a generally oriented management course the MBA program at the Kühne School covers all practically relevant management functions, including, for example, lectures on accounting and financial controlling, investment and financing, personnel and organizational development, strategic management corporate leadership, business and law, and innovation and technology management.
The logistics courses have a clear focus on the entire supply chain and make up more than half of the total number of program courses. The emphasis is on imparting knowledge about the targeted development and integrated structuring of enterprise-related and crossenterprise value added systems on the basis of logistics principles.
Throughout the program students are trained systematically in management skills. Focal points are personal skills (effective presentation and communication), teamwork skills (moderating workshops. learning creativity techniques), and interpersonal skills (conflict management and negotiating techniques).
The entire in-service MBA program is characterized by a high proportion of practice and by unconventional teaching methods such as case studies, group and project work, business games and excursions. The Hamburg University of Technology as the body that is responsible for the program is the guarantor, as it were, of high-quality academic in-service training. Jointly with renowned international teachers, logistics solutions are devised for individual practical problems and success-oriented logistics concepts are drawn up.
